attitude regions in Nantou, Taichung and Hualien. This region has a colder climate with large
temperature variations and misty weather year-round. The frost period in the
winter is long so the growing season is longer. The average growth period for
tea flush is 55 days or longer so it is a perform region for tea leaf growth.
It is tea picking time for Lishan tea when new shoots
start to grow from the tea plants. Two pickings are done in the summer and
winter months of each year. Because of this, the tea leaves are supple and full
bodied and the tea has a deep, mellow and lively taste. The tea is a golden
yellow color with a clear and delicate aroma. The tea is smooth and mellow to
drink with no hint of bitterness. The fragrance of the tea also lingers in the
